Space Anomalies
In StarForge, space anomalies are global events that occur across the entire game universe. Anomalies appear randomly and remain active for a full 24-hour cycle. When an anomaly is active, all explorations on all planets are affected by the same anomaly state. This means every player will experience identical conditions during that cycle, ensuring fairness and shared strategic challenges.
Stabilization and Cycle
Once an anomaly concludes, the galaxy enters a stabilization phase. During this time, no anomaly effects are active, allowing players to recover and prepare for upcoming cycles.
To maintain gameplay balance and prevent prolonged difficulty spikes, negative anomalies cannot occur consecutively. After a negative anomaly, the following active anomaly will always be a stable expanse. .
Possible anomaly states include:
Quantum Aurora Brilliant waves of quantum light ripple across the planet, shorting out mining relays and draining power from extraction fields. Occurrence: Rare Effect: –90% Xirium
Nebula Shards Iridescent dust from a passing nebula settles into the atmosphere, fouling machinery and throwing sensor readings into chaos. Occurrence: Uncommon Effect: –70% Xirium
Dark Matter Vortex An unstable vortex of dark matter twists reality itself, scattering Xirium veins into unreachable pockets of space. Occurrence: Occasional Effect: –50% Xirium
Graviton Storm A surge of rogue gravitational waves shakes the crust and scrambles equipment calibration, slowing mining to a crawl. Occurrence: Frequent Effect: –30% Xirium
Stable Expanse A rare pocket of calm where the void is silent and machines hum in perfect rhythm. Occurrence: Common Effect: No change (100% base yield)
