Cooldowns
Radar System Cooldowns
Each radar in StarForge has a cooldown period after each successful Xirium detection. This cooldown represents the time required for the radar to scan the entire planet.
Withdrawals Cooldown
To maintain system stability and ensure a fair in-game economy, players can withdraw Xirium once every per season. This cooldown encourages players to strategize their resource management, preventing rapid fluctuations in balance and ensuring smoother synchronization between the game and blockchain systems. Timing your withdrawals wisely can give you an edge in both gameplay and trading activities.
Season Pass Removal Cooldown
When a player’s season pass is moved or transferred from their wallet in the middle of the season, their account will enter a 30 hours cooldown. While under under a cooldown for pass removal, players will temporarily lose access to six hours stacked explorations. This mechanic helps prevent exploitation, secures the in-game seasonal economy system, and reinforces the connection between on-chain and in-game activities.
Advantages of Time Gating System
The time-gating system used in StarForge serves multiple purposes within the game economy and player experience: Strategic Planning: Players must decide how to allocate their expeditions across different planets, balancing short cooldowns for smaller extractions with longer cooldowns for higher-yield opportunities. Resource Scarcity: By limiting the frequency of extractions, cooldowns preserve the scarcity and value of Xirium, ensuring it remains a meaningful in-game resource. Player Progression: Time gating encourages regular engagement, rewarding active players who return to optimize their extraction cycles while still preventing over-farming. Economic Balance: radar cooldowns align the in-game economy with sustainable growth, avoiding inflationary resource output.
