Crop Farming
Growing crops is the first step in food production. Each crop follows a cycle-based growth system.
1. Planting & Growth
The Process: Purchase seeds and plant them in a Farm Plot.
Watering Cycles: Most crops require 3 watering cycles to reach maturity.
Intervals: There is a cooldown between each watering action, representing the time needed for the soil to absorb moisture.
Water Supply: You must manually fetch water (costs 2⚡) unless you build a Well, which provides a guaranteed water supply but has its own durability.
2. Harvesting & Rewards
Completion: Once all cycles are finished, you can harvest your crops.
Yields: Harvesting grants both the Crop Item (stored in your Adventure Inventory) and a significant amount of XP.
Core Crops:
Wheat: Used in all cooking recipes.
Corn: Essential for feeding your livestock.
Cabbage/Potatoes: Required for advanced meals.
3. Crop Stress & Death
Crops require consistent attention. Neglecting them has serious consequences:
Growth Regression: If you miss multiple watering cycles, your crops will experience "Crop Stress," causing them to lose growth progress (cycles completed).
Crop Death: If a plant is left unwatered for too long (typically missing 4+ cycles or reaching 0 growth progress and then missing more), it will wither and die. A dead crop is removed from the plot, and you must purchase new seeds to replant.
💡 Pro-Tips for Farmers
The Corn Loop: Always grow more Corn than you think you need. Running out of Corn halts your livestock production completely.
Consistency is Key: Set reminders for your watering cycles. Losing progress to Crop Stress is a waste of both time and water.
Upgrade Early: The Well and Fertilizer are high-value investments that pay for themselves by saving you massive amounts of time and energy in the long run.
