Planets Mechanic

In the StarForge universe, the galaxy is divided into distinct planetary zones. Unlike standard mining, each planet has a finite, dedicated Xirium pool. This creates a competitive "Gold Rush" environment where players race to extract resources before the planet's supply is depleted for the season.

Planet
Initial Xirium Pool

Aether

24,000,000 XRM

Abyss

43,200,000 XRM

Celestial

67,200,000 XRM

Obsidian

84,000,000 XRM

Veridia

108,000,000 XRM

Arrakis

134,400,000 XRM

When a planet's pool reaches zero, it can no longer be mined until the next Season Reset.

Coordinate Mechanics: Discovery & Deployment

To prevent over-exploitation, planets are hidden within the deep reaches of space. Players cannot simply "fly" to a planet; they must first possess its coordinates.

Aether is the default planet and can be accessed by any explorer aslong as they meet the requirements. bb

  1. Scanning & Discovery: Players use their Radar Systems to scan the galaxy. This process consumes durability and time but yields randomized Planet Coordinates.

  2. Unlocking Access: Once a player discovers a planet's coordinates, that planet is "unlocked" for their fleet. They can then deploy ships to that specific location to begin mining its dedicated pool.

  3. Coordinate Market: Coordinates are valuable assets. Players who find coordinates for planets they aren't ready to mine yet can list them on the Marketplace. This allows high-level players to buy access to elite planets (like Arrakis) from scouts and explorers.

  4. Seasonal Decay: Coordinates are tied to the current alignment of the stars. When a Season Reset occurs, all stored coordinates (in inventories and marketplace listings) are wiped out as the planets shift positions, requiring a fresh era of exploration.
